The primary election some thought would never make it to Indiana is officially here. Early voting started Monday, but thats only the beginning of the political events coming to our area. USI will host a big name in this presidential election tomorrow. Though the tri-state has already seen two visits from Hillary Clinton, now that Indianas primary is exactly one month away the election hype is really going to pick up. The lines of voters casting ballots makes you think this is the first Tuesday in November. But really its only April 7th. Its an odd day to vote, but it turns out its busy. These people are casting ballots for the May primary. Its the first time in 40 years Indiana voters get a say in who will run for president this fall. The primary election isnt only hitting the election office but the buzz has made its way to the University of Southern Indiana campus. Football games lunch outside will be replaced by a visit for Chelsea Clinton. Many of the students are excited, but others just have too much to do than worry about an election. "It doesnt really affect me to much I concentrate on my schooling keep pretty busy." Thats exactly why the Clinton camp focuses on campuses like USI. They hope to make people interested. Students say it could work. "Maybe a little bit because I can see everything in person." If youre interested in hearing what the youngest Clinton has to say the event is free and open to the public. She will be here around 9:15 tomorrow morning where shell speak in the Eagles Nest in the University Center.
