A proposal that could bring huge changes to Indiana's casinos easily clears its first hurdle in the General Assembly. Among other things, the bill would allow current riverboat casinos to become land based, horse tracks in Indianapolis could add live gaming tables, and taxes on complimentary play provided to customers would be eliminated. The Senate Public Policy Committee approved the bill 9-0. Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke is a supporter of the bill.
