Moderate Exercise May Reduce Dementia Risk

(Phoenix, AZ) -- Todays health tip -- exercise in order to avoid dementia. An Italian study published in "Neurology" claims that moderate activity can actually help prevent dementia in people over the age of 65. The study analyzed over 700 subjects and found that those who exercised on a regular basis, even something as simple as a daily walk or stair climb, had less reports of dementia over a four-year-span. Those who were more sedentary had much more frequent cases of dementia reported. While health experts stress that activity is not the only factor to affect the risk of dementia, physical activity in the later years of life can be very beneficial.
