Dodge ran the commercial Sunday, which featured a speech by the late radio broadcaster Paul Harvey, and
Some former farmers in Henderson liked the commercial. They hope it gets people thinking more about the amount of work and effort farmers put it to help feed the nation.
"You had to do what you had to do day in, day out, seven days a week," says Billy Miller, Jr., who worked on a farm before going into construction. "There wasn't a set time to do it, no set time to stop. You just went until you got it."
Local Dodge dealerships also liked it. Joe Goebel of Expressway Dodge says the ad could increase sales.
"Something like this can bring in additional revenue for our truck sales," he says. "But I think it gets people thinking again about buying American."
