U.E. Security Guard Injured in Hit and Run

A University of Evansville security guard is recovering after being hit while trying to stop a car Monday night.
Authorities were called to the scene of the hit and run just before 11p.m., at the intersection of Weinbach and Walnut, near the UE campus.
The security guard had to be taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Police tell us they have located a suspect and are interviewing them. They also say the guard was investigating a suspicious person while trying to stop the vehicle.
