Boom Squad, Inc. Thanks Volunteers for 10 Years of Service

After 10 years of service, an Evansville non-profit organization says
"thank you" to the community. Boom Squad, Incorp. held a celebration
tonight to honor the donors and volunteers who have impacted the
oranization. Boom Squad is a drum line involving more than 200 kids that
teaches the art of percussion instruments. It also is a program that
combats juvenile delinquency and focuses on academic achievement.
"These kids, I know several of them would be out on the streets," said Event Coordinator Avil Miller. "Several of them came to us homeless. Several would continue to be "F" students and "D" students. So, we basically impact these students lives in so many ways."
Boom Squad also unveiled its 2013 fundraising campaign, asking 2,013 people to donate $10 to the program.
