Federal Recognition Good News For IN Wineries?

Members of the Indiana Uplands Region are hoping a federal recognition earned yesterday will mean more business.

Their part of Indiana has been designated an American viticultural area. During a gathering at the Indiana Statehouse, Jim Butler, of Butler Winery, said this is an economic development opportunity for the region that stretches from Bloomington to the Ohio River.

Winzerwald Winery in Perry County is among the wineries included in the Indiana Uplands Region.
