The parents of an Evansville 6th grader are upset that their child's class is reading "The Hunger Games"

Kyrsten Williams' class, along with many others at Washington Middle School are currently reading the book as part of an assignment.

Williams' parents say the book is too graphic, and have been protesting in front of the school.  They're even carrying signs urging other parents to get involved.

The EVSC says the book is not new and many classes throughout the corporation have been reading it for years.

We will have more on this story coming up tonight on Eyewitness News First at Four.
