A legislative committee in Indiana gives its blessing to a major overhaul of the state's casino gambling laws. The Senate Appropriations Committee votes 8-4 in favor of the bill. Among other things, the bill would allow riverboat operators to move their gaming operations onto land. Democrat Lindle Hume of Princeton is the only southwestern Indiana lawmaker on the committee. He voted against it.
