A 73-year-old woman says she was using her laptop last month at the Starbucks on First Ave. When she stepped away from the table, she says a man took off with it. The store managers were familiar with the suspect because they say he came in quite often. So, when he returned to Starbucks this week and was carrying a laptop, they called police. Officers say the serial numbers on the computer matched those from the stolen one. They say Steve Reed told them he'd been out of work for the last few months and took the laptop after the woman left it sitting on the table for more than an hour. Reed was arrested and booked on a theft charge.
