The trial is now underway for the alleged murder of an Evansville homeless man. William Hurt, 18, faces charges for murder, robbery and obstruction of justice.
The incident dates back to June 2012. Investigators say Marcus Golike was found dead in the Ohio River. Police arrested three teens -- William Hurt, Deadra Hurt, and Harley Wade -- in connection with Golike's death. Prosecutors eventually dropped charges against Deadra and Wade. The three teens are the children of Golike's adopted sister. Detectives say Hurt told police he and Wade beat and strangled Golike before dumping his body into the Ohio River.
Tuesday a jury was selected for the trial. Officials estimate it will last at least four days.
