Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Deputies are looking for a suspect after a woman says she was attacked in her home by a would-be burglar.

The victim says she returned to her home on Porterfield Drive around 6:00 Tuesday evening when she heard a noise coming from her bedroom.  As she went to check it out, she says a man jumped out of a closet and pushed her to the floor.

With the help of K9's, deputies say they were able to track the suspect to to Goebel Soccer Complex on Green River Road.  They say it's likely the man met a waiting vehicle there and was able to escape from the area.

Anyone ho may have seen strange activity in the Porterfield Drive area between 6:00-6:45p.m. on Tuesday is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 812-421-6201.
