Indiana lawmakers want to make abortion drugs tougher to get. A
committee in the State Senate approved the bill that would make clinics
that provide morning after pills face the same requirements as abortion
clinics. The bill exempts physician offices from any extra regulations,
even if those doctors sometimes prescribe drugs that cause abortions.
Bill supporters say abortion pills sometimes cause complications that
the prescribing clinic must be prepared to deal with.
