Fire officials are investigating another house fire in Henderson. A
little after 3:00 a.m., crews rushed to a home on Powell near Green St. A
newspaper carrier spotted the flames. The homeowner, who officials say
is disabled, admitted to smoking in bed and falling asleep. The man is
unable to walk and couldn't get to a neighbor. He did manage to get out
safely and is not hurt. The home is a total loss.
