One year ago, the McCutchanville Fire Department lost one of its own.  Friday night, a remembrance dinner was held in Evansville to remember Jeremy Tighe.  The McCutchanville Fire Chief says there were a lot of ups and downs Friday.  He says his heart sinks every time he drives by the crash site.  Friday night, family, friends, sheriff's deputies, and firefighters from six different departments packed the gym at Christian Fellowship Church in Evansville.  150 people came to remember Tighe.  Tighe died a year ago, when the fire truck he was riding in crashed on St. Joseph Avenue in Vanderburgh County.  The crash happened less than a half mile from the fire station.  Tighe's mother, Jerri Johnson says she received a lot of support Friday.

"Unbelievable. My house today, the support, I mean it just shows you that Jeremy is not forgotten. Most people that came to my house today said we can't believe its been a year. I have boys standing in my doorway today still sobbing. I mean it's hard," Jerri Johnson said.

Organizers say they raised more than $1,000 at the dinner, which will benefit the Jeremy Tighe Memorial Scholarship Fund.
