Emerald Ash Borer Returning to Tri-State

A beetle that kills ash trees is inching closer to the Tri-State. The
Indiana Department of Natural Resources says the emerald ash borer has
been detected in Vigo County, on the Indiana State University campus in
Terre Haute, and in southern Indiana's Martin County. The beetle that
has been found in 59 Indiana counties was first detected in Indiana in
2004 and has spread largely through the movement of firewood in
campgrounds.
