Pedestrian Hit by Car in Owensboro

A pedestrian is seriously injured in Owensboro Tuesday night.

Police tell Eyewitness News that Christopher Gant was involved in a crash around 10:00 Tuesday night near the intersection of West 24th and Frederica.  Officers say Gant was not hurt in the initial crash, but was struck by an oncoming vehicle, after getting out of his car to pick up some money he dropped onto the street.

Gant is listed in serious condition at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
