Organizations Seek Legal Review on I-69 Project

A legal review could cause some issues in the future construction of
Interstate 69. The Hoosier Environmental Council and Citizens for
Appropriate Rural Roads are seeking to overturn a Clean Water Act permit
issued by the U.S. Army Corps. of Engineers. The permit allows the
state to fill in wetlands and streams along the highway's route between
Crane and Bloomington. The agencies say construction would cause
environmental damage and destroy high quality natural lands.
