Blocks of an Evansville street are shut down on the east side tonight after an accident. Evansville police say an SUV was going north on Boeke Rd. near Washington Ave. when the driver lost control. The car spun and hit a utility pole on the other side of the street. That pole broke, and the wires were left dangling over the street. Police closed it down a little after 7 p.m., and Vectren's working to clean up the mess from the power lines. No one was injured in the crash.
