A colorful celebration like Evansville has never seen before. Plans are now in the works for a big festival this Fall, called "Fiesta Evansville". Mayor Lloyd Winnecke and members of the Latino Advisory Committee make the announcement this morning. They describe it as a celebration of diversity that will take over downtown Evansville September 28. Representatives from a dozen diferent Latino countries are now on board to hold a parade and festival, highlighting their food and culture.

"Our Latino community brings a lot of different things from their own countries," said El Informador Latino Editor Abraham Brown. "A lot of values. A lot of different things probably that we don't experience everyday, and this is an opportunity to experience a richness of their culture that they come and share with us."

The fiesta is set for September 28, following a major Latino summit on the 27.
