Barack Obamas camp says he will definitely visit Evansville, but when is still the question. Hillary Clinton has made her presence known in the tristate, yet Obama is still nowhere to be seen. Is there a strategy behind his absence and will it hurt him at the polls? Its not for selfish reasons Brenda Pittmans volunteering for Barack Obamas campaign, its because shes a grandmother. "My work is for my grandson, for our future." She believes the world is ready for a change and Obama is the candidate she says is best suited for the job. Obama said it himself that Indiana may be the tie breaker in the democratic primary, so if Hoosiers votes are so important, where is he? Mark Owen of the democratic party speculates. "Obviously hes spending most of his time in Pennsylvania because their primary is before ours. His strategy is trying to win Pennsylvania." In the mean time, volunteers continue to work for a man theyve never seen. Will they get fed up? "Of course not, no no no" While Obama supporters say their not worried, political analyst we spoke with say Obamas absence combined with Hillarys numerous visits may hurt him in the end. "Theres no question when a candidate comes to town, theres support, votes." "It seems odd he hasnt been here before." Obamas campaign isnt completely off the radar, his wife Michele will speak at Harrison High School this Wednesday. The idea of Mrs. Obama coming lets us know Evansville is on the map. As it should be, Evansville is Indianas third largest city. Owen points out that the Clintons have been to southern Indiana four times now, but Barack currently has a stronger T.V. campaign. Officials expect many more visits in the coming weeks as candidates try to win each and every Hoosier vote before may 6th.
