It's been nearly a year since Evansville's smoking ban was put into place, and some bar owners are disagreeing on how big of an impact it's having.

Ginny's Place closed its doors recently.  Owner John Higgins says the smoking ban was one of several factors in the decision.

But other pub owners say the ban isn't the main reason several bars went out of business since it started.

Indiana Licensed Beverage Association President Don Marquardt says some bars had a tough time adjusting after the ban started, and that it's still a common factor in some bars closing.  He adds that the smoking exception for casinos hurts smaller bars.
