Illinois Senators Bring Casino Gambling Expansion Bill to a Hault

Illinois Senators put the brakes on another attempt to expand casino gambling. Senate officials expected a vote as early as Thursday, but after a closed-door meeting, majority Democrats push it back. Supporters are not giving up and are continuing the discussion to make sure it passes. A committee approved a plan Wednesday to add casinos in five cities, including Chicago and to put the tax revenue they create toward public education.
