They had just finished a concert at a Chattanooga church when the accident happened on Signal Mountain. 22 people were injured in the crash, but none sustained life-threatening injuries.
Monday the students made an emotional return, as they were welcomed back to campus by family, friends and KWC faculty.
"I'm just glad to be alive," says Michael Stone, president of Kentucky Wesleyan Singers."I'm just overwhelmingly happy that I can look at everyone and know that we're all gonna be OK." He says the experience was traumatic -- but adds it brought the tight-knit group closer together. "It really showed how resilient we are," said Stone.
Craig Turner, KWC's president, was among those who welcomed the students back to campus. "These are like our own children almost," says Turner. "It's just really an emotional, overwhelming experience to see them come back. We feel very blessed and very fortunate that they all made it."
The group will perform March 24 at Third Baptist Church in Owensboro at 7 p.m.
