Man Talked Down From Roof of Evansville Apartment Building

A man who Evansville Police say was threatening to jump from the top of an apartment complex on Tuesday, has been talked down to safety.
Around 8:00 Tuesday morning, police say the man climbed to the roof of Grandview Towers and threatened to jump off.
As a result, parts of Diamond and First Avenues were shut down as negotiators tried to talk the man down.
After several hours, the unidentified man came down on his own, uninjured, and Diamond and First Avenues were reopened to traffic just before noon.
