South Bend: Plane Crashes Into Homes; Injuries Reported

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Around 4:30 p.m. a plane crashed into three houses near the South Bend Regional Airport according to officers on the scene.
Neighbors tell ABC, who is on the scene that they saw 2 people taken away on stretchers.
Officers have evacuated the area due to a gas leak.
Officers say Homeland Security is on the scene.
We spoke to the airport representative and they will be getting back with us shortly.
According a meteorologist weather at the time of the crash appears to be a non-factor. The highest wind gust at that time was around 17 m.p.h.
