Following the discovery of of a child pornography video on a school employees cell phone, Pike County Prosecutor Darrin McDonald says its time everyone in the community gets the message that child abuse is a crime. McDonalds office is currently a pursuing child exploitation charge against former Otwell elementary teachers aide Stephanie Kluemper for possessing the video of a 17 year old boy masturbating. According to court documents, Kluemper showed the video to kids as young as 13, and it was forwarded on to countless other teens. "We dont know how far this e-mail has spread," McDonald said of the cell phone video. "The problem was there were all kinds of people who knew before we were notified." On Monday, McDonald spoke to the Pike County school board during a closed door, executive session meeting. He says he wanted them, and everyone in the community to know, that any reports of abuse of kids should be forwarded directly to his office. "There is no request for information as it relates to child abuse or neglect, its not a request, its a legal requirement," he said. "The laws are going to be enforced."
