Clinton Hails Supporters, Commends Obama (Philadelphia, PA) -- Declaring that the road to the White House runs through Pennsylvania, Senator Hillary Clinton thanked her supporters for her victory in the Keystone States Democratic primary. Calling the current campaign an historic race, Clinton commended rival Barack Obama whom she defeated. Clinton said she and the Democratic Party are attempting to create an America that embraces everyone and turns promises into actions. She stated that, led by the power of ideas, Democrats can take back the White House and the nation. She declared, quote, "You know you can count on me to stand up strong for you every single day in the White House." Clinton added that her victory in Pennsylvania is deeply personal because her father and grandfather were from Pennsylvania.
