An 18-month old child is in the hospital after receiving a bad cut on her neck. The Daviess County Sheriffs Department tell us that Amanda Wittmer and two other kids were riding on a pony cart being pulled by 9-year-old Bethany Wittmer when the wheel of the cart got tangled in the fence causing Bethany to loose her grip. Amanda was holding a glass of water when she fell from the cart. The glass broke and she landed on the broken glass, cutting her neck. Amanda was taken by helicopter to Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis.
