Everyone seems to be jumping on the green band wagon these days. Staff at a local elementary school want to make sure students know why thats important. Kindergarten students at West Terrace have been preparing their first school science experiment for the past few weeks. This project helps them learn how pollution on land and water affects plants, especially pollutants in rain water. " I think is a huge deal right now because with gas prices and pollutants, if we can get them to do stuff at five and six years old, by the time they get old enough to make a difference, its not going to be new to them." Teacher Simone Elmi told her class that most kindergarten students dont get to do this much science. She says they now feel extremely special that they are participating.
