Two people have been shot this morning in Chandler following reports of a domestic disturbance. Police say when they got to the house on Illinois and Green Valley Circle a man with a gun met them at the door.
That man, 34-year old Bryan Williams fired the gun at the Chandler Chief of Police, Marlin Weisheit.
The bullet struck the chiefs gun, only grazing the chiefs leg.
Officer Eric Morris had arrived on the scene just after the chief, and returned fire hitting the gunman at least once. Williams was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Weisheits injuries are said to not be life-threatening.
Officer Morris will take a mandatory two day leave.
Although Weisheit was visibly shaken, but said hed be back to work Monday.
