Bicyclist Dies from Injuries after Accident

An Owensboro bicyclist died from head injuries he sustained in a bizarre accident on a country road.
53 year old David Nuckols was riding with a group of bicyclists on Roby Road in Daviess County Tuesday night.
A dog ran out in front of them and Nuckols couldnt stop in time.
He hit the dog and was thrown from his bicycle.
Nuckols died at noon Wednesday at Owensboro Medical Health System.
Daviess County Coroner Bob Howe says the man died from severe head trauma.
Nuckols was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
