Thousands Dead in China Quake

More than 8500 people are dead after a 7.9 magnitude earthquake shook up China, according to CNN.
900 high school students were trapped in the rubble of their school.
Officials say more victims are likely to be found after rescue teams make contact with areas where roads and phone lines have been cut off since the tremor hit.
No tsunami warnings resulted from the quake, which was felt as far south as Bangkok, Thailand and as far west as Pakistan.
Chinas Seismological Bureau said the quake affected more than half the countrys provinces and municipalities.
