An Evansville group that helps those who cant afford to help themselves is celebrating 50-years. Monday the Legal Aid Society of Evansville thanked past board members, attorneys, and its supporters at a celebration lunch at Old National Bank. The societys executive director says the organization was founded to represent people in civil court who could not normally afford an attorney. Last year the groups three full time attorneys helped more than 800 people with their legal matters.
