Evansville House Fire is No Accident

Fire investigators say the cause of an Evansville house fire is arson. Crews were called out to a duplex at 2033 Covert Avenue at around 9 oclock this morning. When they got there, they found pieces of furniture up in flames. Overstuffed couches and chairs Luckily, the fire didnt spread to the actual structure. Personal items were charred, and there is some smoke damage. No one was home at the time. At one point, police had to block Covert Avenue where it intersects with Weinbach, in order to tackle the blaze. That section of road is now reopened.
