231 Groundbreaking

Its full steam ahead for work on the 231 Spencer County Corridor. Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels and others broke ground on the final two phases of the 146 million dollar project. The governor is quick to point out the highway is coming in 20 million dollars under budget and it should be complete in 2011, thats three years ahead of schedule. He says construction was moved up thanks to the states Major Moves highway financing program. The expanded 231 highway will connect the bridge at Maceo Kentucky to Interstate 64.
