Final Two Revealed On "American Idol"
The stage is set for the final showdown on the seventh season of "American Idol." Last nights elimination episode of the Fox show featured the final three -- David Archuleta, Syesha Mercado and David Cook -- awaiting the results.
Ryan Seacrest took on the task of shattering one persons dreams with his announcement that Syesha would be going home.
The 21-year-old is a native of Sarasota, Florida.
Cook is a 25-year-old from Blue Springs, Missouri, while 17-year-old Archuleta hails from Murray, Utah.
The two Davids will face off Tuesday night on the performance episode, and the "American Idol" winner will be revealed Wednesday night.
The last time a pair of men faced off in the "Idol" finale was back in season two.
Ruben Studdard beat out Clay Aiken for the title that year.
