An Evansville woman apparently will not face charges after police say she left her 2-year-old child home alone. Officers say the woman told them she let the boy sleep while she ran an errand to the trustees office. Shortly after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, a maintenance worker went into the apartment on a service call, found the child alone and called police. Police say the apartment was messy, food, toys and other belongings were strewn on the floor. Police say they also found marijuana. Officers referred the case to child protective services, but the lady was allowed to stay with the child. So far no charges have been filed.
