He is the oldest person ever to graduate from The New Harmony school. 67 year old Larry Moore says its a void hes felt for many years. But on Thursday night 50 years after leaving high school Moore finally has his day. The 67 year old took to the stage alongside teenagers in front family and friends finally getting his diploma. This after leaving two credits shy of graduation at New Harmony school in 1958. Moore says he left to join his brother in the army and then got his GED. And along the way he also graduated from college and got a masters degree. But when he found out he could attend his 50th high school reunion without a diploma, he contacted the New Harmony superintendent. Superintendent Fran Thoele says it was really easy to figure out that he was so excited to get his diploma.. So after Thoele received documentation of all of Moores accomplishments, he easily met missing English requirements. Allowing him to attend his reunion with classmates....and to get something thats means much more than just a piece of paper. Moores 50th class reunion will take place Friday.
