The man who survived Wednesdays fatal accident in Warrick County got another diagnosis while in the hospital.
The Sheriffs Department believes Robert Floyd caused the collision that killed 67 year old Medford Padgett, of Newburgh.
While Floyd was in the hospital, doctors ran a series of test just as a precaution.
A cat scan revealed that he had stage one kidney cancer.
Because they caught the cancer so early, he has a 95% chance of surviving.
Floyd spoke with FOX 7 on the phone, but he says he is too devastated to do a formal interview.
He told us that although the accident may have saved his life, it is the last thing on his mind.
Floyd just wants Padgetts family to know that his thoughts and prayers are with them.
