Evansville House Fire

It took over an hour for Evansville firefighters to put out all of the hot spots of a fire in a near downtown neighborhood.
The blaze in the 800 block of Powell started just after 5 oclock Thursday night.
Firefighters on the scene say there were heavy flames when they arrived.
It was tough for them to fight the fire on the third floor because of a low ceiling.
However, it took less than a half hour for crews to get it under control.
There were people home at the time it broke out, but everyone got out safely.
There werent any injuries.
