Workers at TJ Maxx Distribution say yes to a new three-year contract. The vote was not without some controversy, as some workers say they were preparing to strike. Many of the United Here Union workers say they were concerned with the rise of health insurance costs and no cost of living raise. The contract stated that workers will only receive a minimal rise of 50 cents an hour for the next three years. But when the votes were tallied just after six Friday evening the contract was approved. Enough workers voted for the new deal to keep some 1200 employees off of the picket lines. Now many workers also told Fox 7 though they were unhappy with the contract, they voted for it. They say they need the money and the insurance for their families.
