A scary delivery Thursday night at a Vanderburgh County post office. It happened around 8:15 at the post office at 7100 Peterson Road. A suspicious letter was making a popping noise and smelled like sulfur. A clear liquid oozed out of it--getting on the glove of the postal worker handling it. She reported the suspicious substance. A Hazmat team, fire crews, and the sheriffs department were called out to investigate. McCutchanville Fire Chief Allen Bittner says the letter had two bags with liquid inside, when the letter was squeezed it broke like a stink bomb. It didnt take long for crews to clean up the scene. No word on who sent the letter or the intended recipient.
