INJURY CRASH WITH ROAD CLOSURE
US 431-approximately 2 miles north of Dunmor

Anthony E. Jackson was operating a 1997 Whitestar, flat-bed tractor-trailer southbound on US 431. The tractor-trailer was hauling aluminum. As Mr. Jackson was traveling southbound, the vehicle dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Jackson overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle. The tractor-trailer traveled across both lanes of US 431 and struck a rock wall. It overturned spilling the load and causing the cab to be separated from the trailer. The trailer came to rest upside down blocking both lanes of travel. The cab came to rest upright off the roadway facing the trailer. Mr. Jackson was flown by PHI to the Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment. He was wearing a seatbelt. The road remains closed as crews continue the cleanup.
