Grand Jury Decided No Indictment

A Vanderburgh County grand jury says they will not press charges in two alleged election misconduct cases. Vanderburgh County Prosecutor Stan Levco called the grand jury to figure out which, if any, charges would be filed against poll workers, Kim Minor and Leonard Collins, and another long-time election worker, Louise Williams. The charges against Minor and Collins stem from a FOX 7 camera catching Minor declaring "this is Obamas house" and asking "who in here is voting for Obama?" at a polling place on Election Day. Collins is believed to be heard on the tape declaring "this is McCains house". State law prohibits electioneering within 50 feet of a polling place. Louise Williams was accused of marking another voters absentee ballot. It took more than seven hours Thursday, but the six grand jury members decided there wasnt enough for charges. Levco says part of the issue in Williams case was that the alleged victim was too sick to testify.
