A grand jury says they will not press charges in two alleged election misconduct cases. Vanderburgh county prosecutor Stan Levco called the grand jury to figure out which, if any, charges would be filed against Kim Minor, Leonard Collins and Louise Williams. All three were accused of wrongdoing related to the May 6th primary. But after seven hours, a group of six grand jury members made the decision not to file charges. The charges stem from a Fox 7 camera catching Minor declaring "this is obamas house" and asking "who in here is voting for obama?" at a polling place on election day. While Leonard Collins is believed to be heard on the tape declaring "this is mccains house". State law prohibits electioneering within 50 feet of a polling place. And in the case of Louise Williams it was accusations that she marked another voters absentee ballot. All not enough for those considering charges. County Prosecutor Stan Levco says the grand jury probably thought there was no intent to violate the statute and that just overall it was not serious enough to charge a crime. Levco says part of the issue in Williams case was that the alleged victim was too sick to testify.
