New Patch Prevents Vacation Sickness
Youve heard of a birth control patch and a nicotine patch - well now theres an anti-vacation sickness patch.
The BBC reports a new patch has been found to be 75-percent effective in preventing diarrhea caused by E-coli poisoning.
Squirly stomachs are common when people travel to other parts of the world and they often suffer from vomiting, stomach cramps or diarrhea.
The patch contains E-colis poisonous elements which makes the user become immune to its effects.
Doctor Richard Dawood from a London travel health clinic says the E.coli causes only about 40-percent of travelers diarrhea so the patch will not be entirely effective for everyone.
He added it would be worthwhile for vacationers to invest in the patch because "if youve paid several thousand dollars to take your family on a vacation abroad, every day lost is worth a lot of money."
