The State Fire Marshals office says the cause of a fire that killed a rural Posey County woman Sunday will go down as undetermined. Investigators say too much of the home was destroyed to figure out what started the blaze. However they say there is no indication of foul play. The fire killed Barbara Geiss. It broke out around 4:30 Sunday morning on Farmersville Road near Mt. Vernon. Investigators say a man was staying in the house with Geiss and he tried to pull her to safety through a window, but he couldnt do it.
