It looks like an Owensboro man will spend the rest of his life behind bars for robbing and murdering his alleged marijuana dealer.
The jury in the Jerry Winstead case made the decision Thursday.
19 year old Richard Thomas Roberts was found shot in the neck next to a safe in his bedroom in 2005.
Police believed Roberts kept money and drugs in that safe.
They said the 25 year old Winstead told a friend at least two weeks before Roberts death that he planned to rob him.
Formal sentencing is scheduled for May 21st.
