A Vincennes woman says her cat died after eating tainted pet food.
Fran Linkenhoker says her 4-year-old cat, Sadie, died on Sunday of acute kidney failure.
Linkenhoker says she unknowingly gave the cat tainted food.
The brand of cat food is on the nationwide recall list, and scientists believe it is contaminated with rat poison.
Linkenhoker has contacted the company, Menu Foods, and has also spoken with the FDA.
She says she wants to do whatever she can to try to prevent this from happening to another pet owner.
So far, the tainted food has been blamed for 17 cat and dog deaths across the country.
